Book Giveaway and other fun goodies

totebag full 'o goodies

Yes, Margaritas did play a role in my breakup. What happened?  I realized the dysfunctional nature of my relationship the day that I asked my fiance’s permission to order a  Margarita at a bar.  My sister was with us and she about fell off of her chair. Why on earth was I asking permission to order a frozen drink? (The whole story is in the book.) That day was a turning point for me.

So in the spirit of making, mixing and pouring your OWN Margaritas, we have included some  glasses, salt, Margarita mix and little festive umbrellas in our giveaway. You don’t need anyone’s permission to enjoy this! We’ve also got a hot pink and khaki tote bag (to pack up your stuff), stationary to write a “Dear John” note, a pink yard flamingo and last but not least–a collector’s edition galley proof of our book: “How NOT to Marry the Wrong Guy.”

How to enter the giveaway? Just leave a comment on this post telling us why you want to read the book–or what item you like best in the giveaway package. We will use a Random Number Generator to select the comment number. Last Day to enter is April 15th.

First of all, I loved “How to Marry the Wrong Guy”. I can’t wait to read the new version and see what additional tips you have to help women listen to their guts before they say “I Do”. And as a woman happily married to the right guy for 31 years(and whose favorite drink is a margarita), I would love mix up a batch of the frozen delight to toast all the women smart enough to take a deep breath, read “How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy”, and do some soul searching in case “I Do” should really be “I Don’t”!

I want to read the book because Anne is my cousin and I am ashamed to admit I haven’t read it yet! ;-( Please tell me that I’m not exempt as a relative… I really LOVE margaritas.

I want to read “How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy” because as Wellness editor for 414 Magazine, my whole job is figuring out relationships. I would love to hear other women’s perspectives on what they think went wrong in their relationship, and how they became better for it!

I am currently going through a divorce and would love anything that would help me avoid this badness in the future. Also, I like margaritas

I am over 40 and don’t want to marry the wrong guy! I have a masters degree worked for many years and now want to fall in love and get married! Please help me! Further more, I love margarita’s with just a little salt around the rim. What could be better? Finding the right guy to marry, after reading How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy, and celebrating with a tasty margarita of your choice! Cheers!

Okay, I’ve been divorced twice, and after four years, am looking a third marriage in the eye. I may need a few margaritas and a pink flamingo in my front yard (or back, so the neighbors don’t scream) to peruse the pros and cons of why I would want to try again. Third time’s a charm, right? RIGHT?? See, I need the book.

After two failed marriages, I clearly need someone to tell me how not to marry the wrong guy. Otherwise history may repeat itself!

    Plus, I love flamingos.

I just got out of the worst relationship ever, so I REALLY need a margarita… plus, the flamingo is awesome! And obviously, reading the book wouldn’t hurt me, either.

Wow! I can’t believe you found yourself in that place, but it happens, doesn’t it. It happened to me too, a long, long time ago.

I am fortunate enough that my current story it the opposite. So my favourite item is the pink flamingo that I would like to pin into the middle of my (our) front yard to celebrate the fact that I won’t have to ask my fiancé’s permission to do so. I’ll then whip up some margs and celebrate with him!

(BTW, my fiancé’s last relationship was as you described…he couldn’t do anything…)

Oh, and I have someone in mind for the book!

My ex’s third ex-wife recently told me we can recover from the “icky” ones…What better way than a good book with great advice and a margarita????? Let the recovery begin!

I’d love to read the book. I’m in a great relationship that I hope lasts forever! But that doesn’t mean I haven’t had some bad ones in the past.
Gotta say, “Way to go and keep up the great work!”

I met Jen at a business function and I was given the first book because of a conversation we were having about a “male friend” that I felt was more than a friendship… I loved the book and have encouraged many of my friends to read it until I found out that a revised book was coming out.. I look forward to also reading it.. My favorite gift is the flamingo….

When I was married to the wrong guy, his uncle gave me a set of margarita glasses for Christmas one year. I kept the glasses when I left the guy. I’d like a copy of the book because I love this whole marriage/divorce topic and I can’t get enough literature about it!
